Cheylin Klecker, COTA
Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant/ Rehab Manager

  In May 2016 I graduated from Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton with my Associates in Occupational Therapy.  From there I moved to Wausau WI for my first job out of school in a SNF.  I was really enjoying working with the mixed population of both long-term care and rehab patients.  While still living in Wausau, I was offered an opportunity to do home health therapy and decided to try it.  After about one year of home health therapy, my fiance and I decided we wanted to move back to the southern part of the state to be closer to family.  I started my career with Progressive Beginnings in October 2019, and my fiance and I moved to Whitewater.  In our spare time we enjoy outdoor activities, spending time with friends and family, and working on projects at our home.

I graduated from Marquette University in 2013 with my Bachelor in Science of Athletic Training and 2015 with my Doctorate of Physical Therapy.  During my clinical experience, I found my passion for working with the geriatric population and have worked in the Skilled Nursing Facility setting rehabilitating a variety of diagnoses and utilizing aquatic interventions.  In 2018, I became certified in the LSVT BIG program.  I joined Progressive Beginnings working in Assisted Living Facilities in 2020 and look forward to the future as I continue to advance my clinical knowledge and skills.  My husband and our two german shepherds live in Burlington where we enjoy kayaking, camping, hiking, cheering on our favorite sports teams and home improvement activities. 

Amanda Basso, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant


I graduated with my Associates degree in Applied Science May 2018 and was licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in July of 2018. I am also certified in M1 Graston Techniques which is a form of IASTM promoting blood circulation, tissue healing and pain relief. I started off at a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) fresh out of school where I treated a variety of patients from hip and knee replacements to lumbar and cervical fusions. It was there where I found my passion working with geriatric patients teaching fall prevention and educating on healthy lifestyles. I transitioned to an Assisted Living facility with Progressive Beginnings in August of 2019 to further my career as a Physical Therapist Assistant and to expand my skills with treatment interventions, patient communications and overall patient wellness. In my free time I enjoy reading, exercising, hiking and painting.

Michele Moore, MS, OTR/L 
Occupational Therapist


I earned my Master of Occupational Therapy degree at the University of Wisconsin- Madison and graduated in 2010.  Upon graduating, I have worked in hospital, rehabilitation, outpatient, and industrial settings.  I particularly enjoy working with the adult population and developing strong relationships.  My focus is to provide therapeutic interventions designed to meet patients' specific needs.  Areas of special interest include upper extremity injuries and disorders as well as adaptive equipment.  I currently live in Lake Geneva with my husband Kevin.  We're frequently on the golf course in good weather and I especially enjoy directing my church handbell choir.

In 2020, I graduated from Gateway Technical College with an Associates in Applied Science. I then proceeded to obtain my Physical Therapist Assistant license in July 2020. I was able to join the Progressive Beginnings team in October 2020 as my first professional position as a Physical Therapist Assistant. I have worked in physical therapy and healthcare for over ten years and have a passion for helping others. In my free time, I spend time with my husband and two children.

The importance of good sleep hygiene

Good sleep hygiene involves getting 7-8 hours per night. Here are some tips to getting a good night sleep:

➡️ Maintain a daily routine such as reading before bed

➡️ Consider learning meditation or deep breathing techniques to clear your mind

​➡️ Stop drinking liquids 3-4 hours before bedtime

➡️ Stay active, avoid naps

➡️ Prescriptions and over the counter medications can affect sleep

➡️ Reduce or eliminate drinking alcohol

Find your LOVE for movement!

Our bodies are designed to move. Although the idea of moving seems simple, we often forget how much our bodies need movement!

The CDC recommends that:

-KIDS have 60 minutes every DAY of moderate to vigorous activity

-ADULTS have 2.5 hours every WEEK, or 30 minutes each DAY at least 5 days a week of moderate activity.

If you feel limited in your ability to participate in activities of exercise, let our PB team create  an individualized movement plan for you! It's never too late to find your love for movement.
